MikroTik certifications are obtained through an official course taught by a certified trainer and an official exam, which is always conducted in person: at the end of the course for classroom editions, or in a classroom at a date to be agreed upon with the organizers for online editions. The starting point is always the MTCNA; from there, you choose the Engineer-level courses based on your job. For each certification, you will find a guide with the syllabus, prerequisites, and the dates of the courses I hold at the SICE academy in Capannori (Lucca) and online.
Where do you start?
With the MTCNA, which is the prerequisite for all other courses. Then you follow your specific work area: routing (MTCRE, then MTCINE), wireless (MTCWE), traffic and bandwidth (MTCTCE), users and hotspot (MTCUME), security (MTCSE), switching (MTCSWE), IPv6 (MTCIPv6E).
What is a certification worth?
It is the official recognition by MikroTik of your skills in RouterOS, verifiable on the MikroTik website using the certificate number. Each certificate has a limited validity period and is renewed by retaking the exam.
